YoonA and Lee Bum Soo made fans forget the two’s 20-year age gap with their chemistry in still cuts for ‘Prime Minister and I’!

Once reporter Nam Da Jung (YoonA) and prime minister Kwon Yool (Lee Bum Soo) laid eyes on each other, there was no turning back as the stills cuts show Lee Bum Soo hilariously helping YoonA to hide from the prime minister’s office employees. YoonA ends up becoming flustered by Lee Bum Soo’s unintentional skinship.

Thanksgiving….we are thankful for…

28 Nov

It is Thanksgiving in America–the day for you to not only eat as much as your stomach will allow but also to reflect on life and let your heart fill with gratitude for the things that make everything better even when things are hard.

One reason people are such avid K-Pop fans is that it is something they can always turn to in their time of need as it provides an escape, it makes everything fun, and it is its own fantastical, dreamy world in which everyone looks gorgeous and are super talented. With that being said, here are a few of the K-Pop trademarks that make it such a phenomenon–the things that all K-Pop fans are especially grateful for–along with some of the representative idols!

Love..Only Love.

20 Nov

“Don’t just like.

Like is watered-down love.

Like is mediocre. Like is the wishy-washy emotion of the content.

Athletes don’t do it for the like of a sport.

Artists don’t suffer for the like of art.

There is no I like NY T-shirt.

And Romeo didn’t just like Juliet.

Now that’s powerful stuff.

Love changes things.

Upsets things.

Conquers things.

Love is at the root of everything good that has ever happened and will ever happen.

Thank you…

20 Nov

To those of you who have pushed me –
thank you.
Without you I wouldn’t have fallen.

To those of you who laughed at me –
thank you.
Without you I wouldn’t have cried.

To those of you who just couldn’t love me –
thank you.
Without you I wouldn’t have known real love.

To those of you who hurt my feelings –
thank you.
Without you I wouldn’t have felt them.

To those of you who left me lonely –
thank you.
Without you I wouldn’t have discover myself.

But it is to those of you who thought I couldn’t do it
It is you I thanked the most
Because without you I wouldn’t have tried!

Nicole from Kara possibly splitting up and studying abroad!?!

20 Nov

KARA have found themselves in the headlines again regarding rumors surrounding Nicole’s possible leave.

Japan’s ‘Sankei Sports’ published an article today with the title, ‘KARA Nicole, to study abroad in the U.S. next February’.

According to the article, after the expiration of her contract with DSP Media in January, Nicole will leave for the U.S. to prepare for a solo career. The news outlet explains that this will happen if Nicole and DSP Media cannot work out an agreement with Nicole staying active as a part of KARA even though she’s not under the agency. If the two sides can’t reach an agreement, Nicole will leave for the U.S. to further expand her singing and dancing skills.

From Paul Bowles’ book, The Sheltering Sky:

“Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you cannot conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless…”

Dara reveals thoughts about performing “Missing You” at MAMA 2013

20 Nov

2NE1 recently released their new song “Missing You” and is set to perform it on stage for the first time at the 2013 MAMA in Hong Kong.

In relation to this, Dara left a message through 2NE1’s official Naver LINE account on November 21:

“It feels new and exciting as it has been a while since we were able to do a performance in which we could focus on the song instead of running around everywhere to shake up the stage multiple times. We did a rehearsal a little while ago and whoo.. overflowing emotions.

I’m getting choked up again thinking that we are able to share this feeling with Blackjacks~ I hope many people will listen to this song so we could share this feeling . . . As you guys must be tired staying up all night to come to Hong Kong, let’s all sleep well now. Good job. Let’s do well on our first performance of ‘Missing You’ at the MAMA day after tomorrow.”

You will be able to see their very first performance on November 22 so make sure you check that out as well as their MV if you haven’t already!
